They look at cars model by model. It isn't like a Subaru WRX is cheap to insure, and there has never been a WRX coupe in the States. So it being a coupe isn't going to matter. It's still an Accord. Oh, and one of the cheapest-to-insure cars I've ever had was my Miata, and that is a sports car in the purest sense.
